This photo is being used everywhere!

This photo is being used everywhere!

Jessica Simpson: The cover story on 3 entertainment mags/tabloids this week.  Even PEOPLE went with it.  Lame.

PEOPLE: Speaking of PEOPLE, they have very bizarre poll up asking which male actor looks the best in drag.  Is this really necessary?

American Idol: The addition of a new judge hasn’t added much to the show, but what if you cut one of the judges? MSNBC says Randy Jackson should go!

Facebook: The headline to this article says it all: Facebook Turns 5–But Can It Survive? We say yes.  It ain’t going anywhere any time soon.  And that’s not a bad thing.  Gawker shares its own opinion here.

Clay Aiken: Will be a guest judge on the new season of America’s Next Top Model, which begins later this month.  Doesn’t get much more random than that.

Emmys: The television categories will have 6 nominees from now on instead of 5, and will give all members of the Academy equal voting, in an effort to “increase inclusivity.” No matter what, someone’s still gonna be pissed, though, because you can’t recognize or include everything.

Digital TV: They’re all a bunch of flip-floppers!  After previously voting against it, Congress now ruled that the mandatory switch to digital TV won’t happen until June.

Stephen King: He better watch out.  Many a vampire might be after him now that he said Twilight author Stephanie Meyer “can’t write worth a darn” ‘Dem’s fightin’ words!

Iron Man 2: Robert Downey, Jr. promises that the sequel to last summer’s blockbuster will be “three times more fun and strange.”  Since when do fun and strange go together?

JuicyCampus: The internet just got a little less swarmier now that this gossip site, popular among college students, announced it’s closing.  About time!

Jossip: For sale, but you can hardly tell.  There’s only a little banner at the top of the site, asking for “serious inquiries.”  Damn that economy!

SIZZLED OUT: Gwyneth Paltrow (Chris Martin)

STILL SIZZLING: This off-and-on couple is apparently back on ever since he went through a “life-changing experience.”  Will another reality show follow??

FOB is peeved and they want you to know about it!

FOB is peeved and they want you to know about it!

Heroes: Someone in the cast desperately wants out.  But Kristin won’t say who!

Fall Out Boy: Making a huge accusation that Blender sensationalized and falsified parts of their February cover story–and using Twitter to air their grievances!

Travis Barker: Accompanied by ex Shanna Moakler as he and DJ AM reunited to play a set in Las Vegas.  On again?  Or just hanging with his babymama?

ABC: Contemplating adding widgets to your television experience.  No idea how they’d do that but that’s not surprising considering we still have trouble with widgets ourselves!

TV Guide: No longer includes The CW in their magazine listings.  WTF?

Iron Man 2: Possible villiain casting: Mickey Rourke, who is in the midst of a comeback thanks to the film The Wrestler.

Jossip: No one could deny how awkward it was watching Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper co-host a New Year’s eve special.  Jossip has followed their example by coming up with some pairings of their own.  Our favorite: Joy Behar and Ann Coulter!

Journalism: People, people!  More than one news organization cannot have an exclusive on the same exact thing–as some sites claimed yesterday about Tori Spelling’s 90210 deal.  Go back to j-school!

Gawker: Has a great picture-based piece on the ridiculousness of Teen Vogue telling kids to buy $200+ bags during a recession.

Israel: We resent the suggestion that the timing of the war in Gaza was a PR move.  Considering we were there when it began last month, we can tell you that’s not true.

Going all politico on us. If only we actually asked for it.

Going all politico on us. If only we actually asked for it.

Jennifer Hudson: Established a foundation in memory of her slain relatives to help other families who’ve lost loved ones to violent crimes.  Her speedy actions only help underscore the lessons from the past week: There is no time to waste.  Life is short.  Seize the day.

The View: Put a presidential spin on Halloween costumes this year.  And, yes, this means they all cross-dressed.

Kid Rock: Finally, a celeb who doesn’t want to shove his politics down your throat!  Who is the rapper/rocker/country singer voting for?  He’s not saying because IT DOESN’T MATTER.  Amen.

Joe the Plumber: Sort of following in Kid Rock’s footsteps.  Trying to make his 15 minutes of fame last a little longer with…a country music career?  Yeah, good luck with that.

John Mayer: Definitely not following in Kid Rock’s footsteps.  Makes a surprisingly well-written case for Obama.  Still, we guarantee you this actually cost the presidential candidate some votes.

Forbes: Compiled a part-creepy, part-sad, part-surprising list of the top-earning deceased stars.  Heath Ledger ranks third.  We wish that was a good thing.

Hip-Hop Stars: Should they reduce the bling exposure while the economy is in the crapper?  The Huffington Post thinks so.

MLB: Is there a problem with the World Series?  Besides, we mean, not actually being open to the entire world.  Yes, if you consider the poor timing of the games, the team monopolies and the fixation on revenue.

Iron Man: Robert Downey Jr. hasn’t even begun filming the sequel yet and he’s already signed on for film number 3.

SIZZLED OUT: Joaquin Phoenix

STILL SIZZLING: Which veejay turned dramatic actress will return for TRL’s farewell next month?

A little less time, a little more music, please.

A little less time, a little more music, please.

Madonna: Reports are swirling this morning that Madonna and Guy will announce the divorce that has been rumored for so long.  Her rep declined comment–perhaps that means an official statement this afternoon?  Check back later today for part 2!

Joe Manganiello: The actor–who plays Owen on One Tree Hill–has a legit Facebook profile.  No shit.

James Van der Beek: The return of Dawson?  Sort of.  One Tree Hill creator, Mark Schwahn, has confirmed that the teen soap veteran will guest-star on a November ep, as a filmmaker.  Kind of like Dawson, no?

Tim McGraw: He’s “embarrassed” that his record label put out another greatest hits album instead of new music.  After all, he’s had THREE compilations out in the last 2 years.  Time for new music is right!

Iron Man 2: Don Cheadle will be taking over Terrence Howard’s role.  We don’t really know what that means considering we never saw Iron Man in the first place.

Matthew Perry: Showtime is making a show starring the former friend but we’re more excited to see him in 17 Again with Zac Efron!

Gossip Girl: Yalies are quite upset with their portrayal in Monday’s episode.  Pretentious much?

TV Guide: The struggling mag has been sold to a private equity company.  No word yet on what that means exactly for the magazine but hopefully it’ll stay around long enough for us to work there!

Fall Out Boy: New album pushed back to DECEMBER?! Blame the election.

SIZZLED OUT: Maureen McCormick (Marcia Brady)

STILL SIZZLING: If rumors of a funeral are true, New York City may get a little less crowded on this TV show.
