Do you agree with PEOPLE's choice?

Do you agree with PEOPLE's choice?

Chris Brown: If attorney Mark Geragos has his way, the case against Chris Brown will be dismissed.  Geragos is arguing that the case is tainted due to media leaks and should be thrown out.  It’s a big longshot but who knows what’ll happen?

Christina Applegate: Earned the top spot on PEOPLE’s annual Most Beautiful list.  Not a bad choice but not exactly someone we think is drop-dead gorgeous.  But this is about inner beauty, too, and she definitely has that.

Obama: Last night’s press conference reportedly cost the 3 big networks more than $20 million.  Are we wrong in thinking that’s peanuts for this industry?

Sean Penn: She cried in happiness for his wins during award seasons but that wasn’t enough to stop Penn from filing for a legal separation from wife Robin Wright Penn.  Hate when families can’t make it work.

Swine flu: This is an interesting thought.  Might the potential pandemic cause a rise in TV ratings?  If people are avoiding the outdoors, they might just turn to the old-fashioned television set for entertainment…

Swine flu Pt. 2: Contrary to rumors, the illness did not affect production on the The Real World: Cancun.  While it’s good no one got sick, it definitely would’ve added some new drama to the mix.

SIZZLED OUT: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

STILL SIZZLING: This model turned talk-show host appeared in court yesterday testifying against an alleged stalker.  The star hopes he’ll be walking the runway straight to jail.

M versus M

M versus M

Britney: Will be separated from Sam Lutfi for the next three years, according to a court order.  Hopefully this means her career–and her life–will stay on the right track.

Sarah Jessica Parker: Breakup rumors be damned!  SJP and hubby Matthew Broderick are expecting twin girls via a surrogate.   She’ll be one busy lady, especially if plans move forward with the SATC sequel!

Miley Cyrus: Miss Hannah Montana better step it up a notch.  Miranda Cosgrove’s iCarly has passed the mega show in the ratings.  Do we have a new tween queen on our hands?

David Beckham: What does a soccer star know about the fashion industry?  We have no idea, but Beckham will be partnering with Adidas on a line.  At least it’s a sports company.

Supreme Court: Thanks to a new ruling, it’s likely live broadcasts (like awards shows) will keep a delay feature to prevent “isolated expletives.”  Yes, it’s as strange as it sounds.

SIZZLED OUT: Pink (Carey Hart)

STILL SIZZLING: This A-list supercouple are making waves–the good kind!–in the small suburban town where they’ve taken up residence during a film shoot.

Real-life lovebirds!

Real-life lovebirds!

Obama: Not even the president can stand in the way of American Idol.  Though Obama said he wants primetime coverage this week for a press conference, Fox is refusing to give it to him.  The reason?  The conference could cut in to time scheduled for the Idol results show.

Fox: Here’s something the network IS willing to do: hold a contest to find the next best script writer.  If that means less reality shows, then that’s fine with us.

Slumdog Millionaire: Know how to make a great movie even better?  Have the two leads fall in love!  Slumdog’s Dev Patel and Freida Pinto are in a relationship, Patel’s mother confirmed.  Too cute!

Wolverine: News flash–superheros (or rather, the actors that play them) are not infallible.  The planned Mexico City premiere for Wolverine has been canceled due to the spread of the deadly swine flu.

Saved by the Bell: Gotta give Jimmy Fallon credit for trying to stage an SBTB reunion on his show.  Love this segment, which so closely paraodies one of the episodes, it’s kind of scary…in a good way!

YouTube: Does the phrase “shoes, betch!” mean anything to you?  If it does, you have to check out the latest video by “Kelly,” the character responsible for Shoes and Text Message Break-Up.

Gawker: It looks pretty but it’s really quite sad.  Gawker put together an image of all the recently-folded magazines.

SIZZLED OUT: Eminem

STILL SIZZLING: This singer and her ex say they’re modeling their second go-round on long-term couples like Tim Robbins & Susan Sarandon and Goldie Hawn & Kurt Russel.

Sadly, now only two of these 'Girls' are still alive.

Sadly, now only two of these 'Girls' are still alive.

Speidi: Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt marriedre-married, depending on how you look at it— over the weekend. Sure it’ll be on TV sooner or later.

Jamie Lynn Spears: Her babydaddy got into a serious accident yesterday, landing him in the hospital.  Thankfully, for his family’s sake, he’s expected to recover.

Bea Arthur: The world got a little bit less funny this weekend with the passing of this Golden Girl.  She was 86.

Twitter: Has Matthew Perry joined the celeb Twitter movement?  You decide.

Best Week Ever: Put together a list of the top TV cross-overs, including more than one Steve Urkel appearance.  Lots of classic moments and tons of memories–love it!

Spider-Man: Totally disappointed.  Thought the roles for the upcoming musical were pretty much set, but according to MTV, open auditions are being held throughout the country.  Hmmm…

SIZZLED OUT: BET

STILL SIZZLING: This rapper’s return to the mainstream will be buoyed by not one but two abums–even though the first one isn’t even out yet!  Talk about an addiction!

The hardest working man in show biz. Yep, I said it.

The hardest working man in show biz. Yep, I said it.

Jay Leno: Forced to cancel last night’s Tonight Show when an illness prompted him to go to the hospital.  What’s wrong?  Well, we don’t know but Jay will probably talk (or joke) about it when he gets back.

Roger Ebert: Planning a new movie review show, even though his illnesses have taken away his ability to speak.  Curious to see how this will work.

Bones: Motley Crue will guest-star in the season finale. And there I thought the Family Guy crossover was weird…

ABC: Gave “early pickups” to a dozen shows.  Not among them? Samantha Who or Scrubs.

CSI: Voted viewers’ favorite all-time show in a new poll.  Maybe that means we should watch it sometime?

SIZZLED OUT: Mike Tyson

STILL SIZZLING: This network is planning a sister channel for the Barack and Michelle Obamas of the world.

The subject of a new movie?

The subject of a new movie?

Beyonce: Subject to a “hoax” yesterday when a recording surfaced–on the Howard Stern Show, no less–reportedly of B singing quite poorly.  But her camp quickly denied it was real–and claimed it was great publicity!

Tom Cruise: Pays writers what for many of us would be a year’s salary just to retool scripts of movies he’s considering.  Where do we sign up?

Elizabeth Banks: The Zack and Miri actress will star in “a workplace comedy” called “Forever 21” but no word yet if it’s related to the clothing store.  Would be kind of weird if it isn’t, though, right?

Beauty & the Beast: Our favorite Disney movie is just the latest classic fairytale to be remade.  HSM’s Vanessa Hudgens will star in a modern retelling simply named “Beastly.”  Let’s hope it’s better than all the Cinderella re-dos.

Daily Beast: Has a short photo gallery on how shows hides actresses’ pregnancies.  Timely because of the Pompeo news.

Maureen Dowd: Love the ending to Dowd’s latest New York Times column about Twitter.  We think she’s only dissing it because everyone likes it.  Psht.

SIZZLED OUT: Fred Segal

STILL SIZZLING: This athlete who has been accused of domestic abuse in the past weighed in on the Chris Brown-Rihanna situation, saying that Brown is a “baby'” who can’t handle his emotions.

You'll see it again--just not on a TV screen.

You'll see it again--just not on a TV screen.

Project Runway: The Bravo-Lifetime battle is over but you’ll still have to wait a few more months to see new episodes.  The next season won’t air til August!

Ashton Kutcher: Bringing back Punk’d.  Sort of.  A new version of the let’s-prank-people show will be released on the web.  Maybe this is when he’ll ding-dong-ditch Ted Turner?

Obama: Not sure how we feel about this magazine cover but some people are up in arms.  To be fair, it’sprobably  not how most people want to picture the president.

Natalee Holloway: A television movie based on her disappearance gave the Lifetime Movie Network its best ratings ever.  If only that would bring her back.  Sigh.

Blagojevich: Not so fast, Blago!  After saying he’d appear on a crappy reality show, a judge has actually forbid him to do so.  Pretty sure that makes us the winners here, right?

SIZZLED OUT: Home Improvement

STILL SIZZLING: This upper-class clothing store–named-dropped in everything from Clueless to Beverly Hills 90210–will be the subject of a Bravo reality show.
