Do you agree with PEOPLE's choice?

Do you agree with PEOPLE's choice?

Chris Brown: If attorney Mark Geragos has his way, the case against Chris Brown will be dismissed.  Geragos is arguing that the case is tainted due to media leaks and should be thrown out.  It’s a big longshot but who knows what’ll happen?

Christina Applegate: Earned the top spot on PEOPLE’s annual Most Beautiful list.  Not a bad choice but not exactly someone we think is drop-dead gorgeous.  But this is about inner beauty, too, and she definitely has that.

Obama: Last night’s press conference reportedly cost the 3 big networks more than $20 million.  Are we wrong in thinking that’s peanuts for this industry?

Sean Penn: She cried in happiness for his wins during award seasons but that wasn’t enough to stop Penn from filing for a legal separation from wife Robin Wright Penn.  Hate when families can’t make it work.

Swine flu: This is an interesting thought.  Might the potential pandemic cause a rise in TV ratings?  If people are avoiding the outdoors, they might just turn to the old-fashioned television set for entertainment…

Swine flu Pt. 2: Contrary to rumors, the illness did not affect production on the The Real World: Cancun.  While it’s good no one got sick, it definitely would’ve added some new drama to the mix.

SIZZLED OUT: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

STILL SIZZLING: This model turned talk-show host appeared in court yesterday testifying against an alleged stalker.  The star hopes he’ll be walking the runway straight to jail.

A thriller of a press conference?

A thriller of a press conference?

Chris Brown: Charged yesterday with two felonies but got the arraignment postponed until April, so no plea was entered.  The attorney on Rihanna’s behalf said she did not wish to prohibit contact between the two.

Chris Brown Pt. 2: Jossip is one of the first outlets we’ve seen do a piece on how Brown’s being treated unfairly/inaccurately by the media.  Totally agree!

The Bachelor: Change of heart or betrayal?  Those the are words PEOPLE is floating around in their new cover story.  Should be a big seller, no?

DWTS: The new season hasn’t even officially started yet and already there’s drama!  Both Jewel, who was injured last week, and the now-injured Nancy O’Dell have dropped out of the competition!  Supposedly their replacements won’t be announced until the premiere Monday but we imagine it’ll leak before then!

Ashlee Simpson: PEOPLE has a clip of her CSI guest-appearance alongside hubby Pete Wentz and it ain’t pretty.  With no effort made to change their looks, it’s hard to believe these two are playing any character other than themselves.

Michael Jackson: So he’s planning a comeback/farewell tour (yeah, we don’t get it either) but all signs point to the fact that Jacko is still wacko.  He’s not even playing in the States!

Robin Williams: At 57 years young, the actor-comedian will have heart valve replacement surgery.  If only laughter truly was the best medicine!

Seinfeld: It’s a yada yada yada reunion!  Jerry Seinfeld and co will appear on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, their first joint TV gig in more than a decade!

The Real World: This is probably the best thing to come out of the show in years.  MTV made a biopic based on Pedro, the season one three cast member who struggled with–and eventually died from–AIDS.

SIZZLED OUT: Sherri Shepherd (The View)

STILL SIZZLING: This funny man recently got engaged.  Think anyone will crash his wedding?

Not everyone's favorite piano man

Not everyone's favorite piano man

24: The new season is just getting started and you better cherish every second of it.  Star Kiefer Sutherland says he could see next year being the last but that it’s ultimately up to the audience.  Funny, we thought it was up to the network!  Since when do audiences ever get their say?

Oprah: Though she was “amused” by Blagojevic saying he considered her to replace Obama in the Illinois senate, O also says she thinks she would’ve done a good job!

DWTS: Not sure if this is good news or bad but Kevin Federline will not be appearing on the next season.

Supernatural: The show suffered a devastating loss on Sunday when one of its executive producers passed away from cancer.  Not sure yet if/how this will affect the show’s future but that probably isn’t the most important thing right now.

Terrell Owens: Getting his own VH1 reality show. Just what we need.  Not that there ever is a reality show we need…

Digital TV: If you haven’t made the switch yet, you could have four more months to do so if the House and Senate can agree.  The Senate, at President Obama’s urging, already passed the bill.

The Real World: Leaving the country next season to travel oh so far away to Cancun.  We’re still waiting for The Real World: Long Island or, at the very least, The Hamptons.

Variety: The latest to be hit with layoffs.  Our job prospects are decreasing by the day…

Defamer: Making the bold prediction that The Curious Case of Benjamin Button will go 0-for-13 at the Oscars next month.

Slate: Making the even bolder claim that Billy Joel is “the worst pop singer ever.”  That is extremely harsh, even for them.  Jossip fired back with a list of their own.

SIZZLED OUT: Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls)

STILL SIZZLING: This once popular series will be unexpectedly going on a long hiatus soon.  Hope this doesn’t mean things are gonna get ugly!

Sounds yummy to us!

Sounds yummy to us!

24: Really don’t understand what the Obama administration has to do with 24 but maybe we don’t watch enough to know?

Obama: Inspired the new Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor, Yes Pecan.  Get it?!

The Simpsons: In the process of making an episode written by and starring Seth Rogen.  We may actually have to tune in for this one!

Nickelodeon: Their answer to High School Musical–called Spectacular–will air in February.  Noteworthy fact: the film’s choreographer has also worked with Madonna and Britney!

Rumer Willis: The eldest daughter of Bruce and Demi will be Miss Golden Globe at the awards show tomorrow night.  As the Daily Beast asks, how will this affect her career?  “Will it Die Hard?  Like a Ghost?”

Charles Barkley: Was in fact over the legal limit when he was arrested for DUI last month.  Consequently, he’s “taking” a leave of absence from his sportscasting gig.

The Real World: Salon makes a great point: how come it took this long for the show to include a transgendered person in the cast?  Oh, yeah.  Because it’s no longer cutting edge!

Jossip: Has an interesting article examining the possible futures of CBS.  In their words, “own the world or crash and burn.”

SIZZLED OUT: Burger King

STILL SIZZLING: Chace Crawford and his pretty face star in this rising singer’s new video.

Think anyone did this to her while she was preggers?

Think anyone did this to her while she was preggers?

Jennifer Garner: Gave birth yesterday to daughter number two.  No word yet if the name will be another crayon color.

John Travolta: Predictably, John, Jett and Kelly Preston are on the cover of this week’s PEOPLE.  Will probably be a big seller.

American Idol: Telling people not to believe a letter they may receive in a mail claiming they’ve won prize money.  Gotta love scams.

Nip/Tuck: Got a scathing review from the Sun-Sentinel.  While we wouldn’t be quite as harsh, we agree the show doesn’t seem as fresh and cutting edge (no pun intended) anymore.

Sarah Palin: After praising her daughter and soon-to-be son-in-law for working hard, word comes that new father Levi Johnston has quit his job after a newspaper discovered he wasn’t eligible for the position.  Ah, investigative journalism at its finest!

The Real World: The Brooklyn edition premieres tonight.  Kind of over it.  How ’bout you?

iTunes: Changing their pricing so that songs cost differently depending on how “popular” they are.

Forbes: T’was their turn for yesterday.  Lucky them.

The Atlantic: Wrote a piece speculating on what would happen if The New York Times went out of business and, let us tell you, it ain’t pretty.

SIZZLED OUT: Lindsay Lohan (Samantha Ronson)

STILL SIZZLING: This singer is offering a contest where fans can submit videos to air during her performance at the Grammys.  Will they try it and will they like it?

For Ro's sake, maybe history should repeat itself!

For Ro's sake, maybe history should repeat itself!

EW: A non-Twilight cover!  Yes!  Jennifer Aniston in its place.  We can deal.  Best part, though: Aniston compares Vogue to a tabloid for fixating its story on her and Brangelina!

Grammys: Nominations are out.  Leading the pack are Lil Wayne and Coldplay, two artists we don’t care for.  Guess that means we have bad taste?

Oprah: Surprise, surprise.  O is bringing her show to D.C. for Obama’s inaugeration.

Obama: Speaking of the inaugeration, what will the Mrs. wear?  There’s some sketches floating around.  They’re not half-bad!

Broadway: Grease is closing.  We never got a chance to see it.  Oh, well.

Broadway Pt. 2: The Flintstones are (maybe) coming!  Will this be Rosie O’Donnell’s next gig?

Neve Campbell: Coming back to primetime as one-half of an interracial couple on a new series.  Modern times call for modern shows!

The Apprentice: Why can’t anyone say ‘you’re fired!’ to Donald Trump?  It would really help us all.  Instead, NBC is planning to air each episode of the new season in two-hour installments.

TV Academy Hall of Fame: Bea Arthur is being inducted!  We do love our Golden Girls!

Luke Wilson: Is he really on Twitter?  Time will tell, we suppose.

The Real World: The subject of a special panel at the Paley Center for Media.  Though this is embarrassing to admit, we really wish we could go!

Oh, how we've missed you! (And, oh, how we're still waiting for Everwood on DVD!)

Oh, how we've missed you! (And, oh, how we're still hoping for more Everwood DVDs!)

Jennifer Hudson: Her former brother-in-law has officially been arrested–but not charged–in the deaths of her mother, brother and nephew. One step closer to justice?

Britney: The most searched term on Yahoo…for the seventh time!

Gossip Girl: Was anyone surprised by last night’s ending? We think not.

Grammys: Nominations revealed tomorrow, museum opens on Saturday. Big week!

News Media: To blame for Black Friday mania and the Mumbai attacks?

CNN: Practically the only news organization making a profit these days–and stepping up their game even more by unveiling a wire service meant to compete with the AP.

Gregory Smith: Finally coming back to television and it’s on a pretty much-canceled show? Well, that’s just great.

American Idol: Promos for season 8 have hit the ‘net and we are LOVING the David Cook one.

Obama: Even with him as a role model, creating strong black characters on television will remain a challenge. Guess progress really does take baby steps.

The Real World: The first episode of the new Brooklyn season has been released to the media. The question: does anyone care anymore? This is, after all, season 21!

Time: Now the magazine of choice for college students, in place of Cosmopolitan. Also a preference of the past: Perez Hilton.com. Hallelujah!

SIZZLED OUT: Michael Phelps

STILL SIZZLING: Which singer featured her own parents as wedding guests in her new video?

Soon this all will be just a bad dream!

Soon this all will be just a bad dream!

Paris Hilton: At first “sources” were saying that she and Benji Madden are no longer together but we weren’t sure whether to believe it.  They made huge declarations of their love as recently as last month.  Turns out, the Associated Press got official confirmation from Hilton’s publicist.  You win some, you lose some…

Miley Cyrus: Wants to be on a reality television show beacause they’re “crazy” and it would be cool “to be in a really nice house with cameras following me around.”  Lucky for her, MTV is casting for season 22 of The Real World.  Be careful what you wish for, Miley!

Rob Lowe: Chinese delegates, in California to discuss global warming with the governator, got the pleasure of witnessing Lowe film a scene for Brothers & Sisters.  Lowe even got them directors’ chairs and headsets.  What an inefficient use of time!

Gawker: Categorizes the 4 different ways magazines have been killed lately.  Funny and sad at the same time.

OK! Magazine: They’re practically the only mag out there hiring.  Too bad we don’t want to work for them!  (Yes, we know one day we will regret saying that!)

Jossip: The aforementioned regret has already begun.  Internships at some pretty desirable mags are now for sale, as in YOU PAY TO DO THEM.  This truly is a “New America.” One in which we stay in bed under the covers all day.

Soap Opera Digest: You know times are bad when a publication starts asking for “volunteer writers.”   At least they’re not auctioning the spots off to the highest bidder!

24: The two-hour telepic, airing Sunday, is a “dry-run” for a full-length feature in theaters.  Ratings and DVD sales will be the deciding factors.

Blink-182: Mark Hoppus admits to talking a lot lately with former bandmates Travis Barker and Tom DeLonge.  The best news: a music reunion, though not yet discussed, isn’t totally out of the question!

Beauty & the Geek: May have a second life on MTV, with D-list celebs participating as the beauties.  Hard to believe Ashton Kutcher is involved with this crap.

AR2: What if there was a second American Revolution?  That question is the subject of a new series in the works at FX.  The “incendiary” plot will revolve around college students who stage a revolt and try to re-define the meaning of patriotism.

Judd Apatow: His next movie won’t be out til next summer at the earliest and it’s already getting press play.  We’re not surprised considering, a, his track record and, b, the stars lined up (Adam Sandler, Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, Jason Schwartzman and wife Leslie Mann).

SIZZLED OUT: Josh Schwartz

STILL SIZZLING: This actress spent an hour in the hospital after getting sick on a plane.  Realizing the best days of our career were behind us would make us sick, too.

Forget President Obama. How about President Fresh Prince?!

Forget President Obama. How about President Fresh Prince?!

Paris Hilton: If she thinks “the best man won,” maybe this Obama presidency isn’t such a good thing after all!

Rihanna: Abruptly left the stage last night right before her concert’s end.  Video footage shows the singer looking like she’s going to faint.  Her rep maintains she was simply hot and tired but, most importantly, is fine now.

Disney: Yesterday we told you how Disney is trying to pimp ridiculously expensive products.  And now we know why: profits are down 13 percent!  Guess the Mouse House isn’t immune to the economy’s woes.

The New Yorker: The elite mag is finally entering the 21st century!  They’ve gone digital…for subscribers only.  Babysteps, we guess.

Barack Obama: The soon-to-be most popular baby name, reports Reuters.  We’ll believe it when we see it.

Will Smith: Gave a heartfelt–and yet, still hilarious–interview on today’s Oprah about his reaction to Obama’s election.  Pure Will.  Pure magic.

The Real World: So the trailer for the new Brooklyn-based season leaked to the internet and rapidly found its way onto a bagillion sites.  And now the clips on all those sites suddenly don’t work!  Thankfully, NBC wrote out a second-by-second recap!
