The latest example of Pixar genius

The latest example of Pixar genius

Chris Brown: The New York Times has a really interesting piece exploring why teens might be siding with him in the Rihanna case.  The court of law may decide his legal fate, but these kids get to decide whether to make or break his career.

Jennifer Lopez: Joined (ironically?) by a bunch of young C-list stars in a West Side Story photo spread in Vanity Fair.

Obama: Made some good quips with Jay Leno last night, but do people want a president that’s funny and taking time out for late-night appearances?  Or does that make him seem more “real”?

Family Guy: Here’s a nomination for weirdest cross-over in TV history.  Stewie will interact with David Boreanaz’s character on an upcoming episode of Bones.

VH1: Bringing back one of their old staples, Behind the Music.  Which is interesting considering they don’t seem to do much with music these days.  So far only Lil’ Wayne and Scott Weiland have been announced as the biography series’ subjects.

Pixar: The creators of Wall-E will have the honor of opening the prestegious Cannes Film Festival with their newest film, Up.  With their track record, it’s bound to be a hit.

Twitter: The staff at Good Morning America is so happy about their Twitter use that they released a statement saying how they more followers than competing news programs.  ‘Cause, you know, that’s what’s most important.

SIZZLED OUT: Kanye West

STILL SIZZLING: This comedian isn’t laughing now that he watched his own brother be indicted for stealing his money.

Does she look flustered to you?

American Idol: Did you hate last night’s season premiere?  Or that it even premiered at all?  AdAge feels your pain.

Arrested Development: It’s once again unclear whether the series will be made into a movie.  So sick of this back and forth!

Taylor Swift: It’s a frequent question in Hollywood–she can sing but can she act?  Swift will have a chance to prove she’s a double-threat when she guest-stars on CSI.

Bush: Why must he continue to torture us and schedule a farewell speech during primetime? Hasn’t he interrupted enough  TV programming already?

Britney: Her Twitter account was one of the unfortunate celeb ones hacked earlier this month and now someone on her staff may be paying the price.

Kate Winslet: Did you catch her Golden Globes acceptance speeches?  We thought they were endearing and adorable.  Her fellow Brits disagree…strongly.

Vannessa Hudgens: That Twilight report is now being denied.  Good!

Katy Perry: Peeved at PEOPLE and other mags for (allegedly) taking some remarks out of context.  Writes Perry on her blog: “When I wanna share something with the world, the world will know… otherwise, stop looking for a story, or an explanation.”

Ray Romano: Will star in a new TNT “dramedy” about guys going through a mid-life crisis.  Hmmm.  Wonder if this show is autobiographical, too…

Glenn Close: The latest celeb to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  And the best part?  We’ll be going there Friday!

Lil’ Wayne: The first story we’ve seen on who’s performing at the Grammys in February.  Can’t say we’re thrilled.

SIZZLED OUT: Wheel of Fortune

STILL SIZZLING: How will Sizzlemaker do on Wheel of Fortune?  Come back late tomorrow for a recap of the taping.  (Though this doesn’t make us feel too good.)

For Ro's sake, maybe history should repeat itself!

For Ro's sake, maybe history should repeat itself!

EW: A non-Twilight cover!  Yes!  Jennifer Aniston in its place.  We can deal.  Best part, though: Aniston compares Vogue to a tabloid for fixating its story on her and Brangelina!

Grammys: Nominations are out.  Leading the pack are Lil Wayne and Coldplay, two artists we don’t care for.  Guess that means we have bad taste?

Oprah: Surprise, surprise.  O is bringing her show to D.C. for Obama’s inaugeration.

Obama: Speaking of the inaugeration, what will the Mrs. wear?  There’s some sketches floating around.  They’re not half-bad!

Broadway: Grease is closing.  We never got a chance to see it.  Oh, well.

Broadway Pt. 2: The Flintstones are (maybe) coming!  Will this be Rosie O’Donnell’s next gig?

Neve Campbell: Coming back to primetime as one-half of an interracial couple on a new series.  Modern times call for modern shows!

The Apprentice: Why can’t anyone say ‘you’re fired!’ to Donald Trump?  It would really help us all.  Instead, NBC is planning to air each episode of the new season in two-hour installments.

TV Academy Hall of Fame: Bea Arthur is being inducted!  We do love our Golden Girls!

Luke Wilson: Is he really on Twitter?  Time will tell, we suppose.

The Real World: The subject of a special panel at the Paley Center for Media.  Though this is embarrassing to admit, we really wish we could go!

Just another couple we'd like to see get back together!

Just another couple we wish would get back together!

EW: Another Twilight cover?  Really?!  Enough!  This is the third one in mere months and the second in weeks!  Total overkill.

Twitter: Major source of communication as the Mumbai attacks unfolded.

Orlando Bloom: Despite reports to the contrary, he is not engaged.  Still with Miranda Kerr, though.  Guess getting back together with Kate Bosworth is still out of the question.

Rosie O’Donnell: So the variety show tanked but does that mean you have to cave on everything?! The so-called feud between her and Barbara Walters is over, as far as Rosie’s concerned.  “Here’s my new motto,” Rosie wrote on her blog.  “Whatever she says, goes.  The end.”  That doesn’t sound like the Ro we know and love!

John Travolta: Says Richard Gere and Tom Hanks have a career thanks to him.  (He turned down parts that they ended up getting).  He’s joking.  We think.

Paris Hilton: Finished a second album, which she says she wrote all on her own.  This may not be the worst thing ever.  Stars Are Blind was pretty catchy.

Cable TV: May soon dominate the television ratings.  Based on the fall output from the major networks, we can easily see how.

SIZZLED OUT: Lil Wayne

STILL SIZZLING: Is two months two soon to introduce your girlfriend to your family?  Based on track record in a different arena, this champion must think he can’t lose.

Once a strange family, always a strange family.

Once a strange family, always a strange family.

The Spellings: Randy says late father Aaron would love the new 90210.  Candy was named woman of the year.  What planet are they living on?!

W: Looks like Bush even fails at the box office.  Life imitating art?

Red Sox: Not going to the World Series.  Guess this year wasn’t a total loss for the Yanks!

Matt Damon: Coming back for another Bourne installment.  Does it ever get old?

HSM: We’re only days away from the new movie!  Yesssss!

Faith Hill: 41 and on the cover of SHAPE in a bikini.  Good for her!

Lil’ Wayne: Will become a dad in mere “days.”  Who even knew he was married?  That’s right; he’s probably not.

SIZZLED OUT: Tori Spelling

STILL SIZZLING: Which famous gossip columnist just turned 85 and still manages to scoop us all?

Guess they won't be doing THAT anymore!

Guess they won't be doing THAT anymore!

Madonna: So it’s true.  Their reps have released a joint statement.  Divorce will proceed.  Settlement not yet reached.  What we want to know: so did she really have an affair with A-Rod?

Rolling Stone: The over-sized mag is going on a diet.  Starting with the Oct. 30th issue, the magazine will appear just like all the other glossy mags out there.  They save money, we get more pages.  Good for everyone?

Janet Jackson: Her rep is saying the mysterious illness was a case of bad migraines.  Um, okay.

DWTS: Cloris Leachman, 82, is still in the competition.  We still think this can only end badly.

AMA: Among the nominees for the American Music Awards: Alicia Keys, Coldplay, Lil’ Wayne and Taylor Swift.  Jimmy Kimmel will host for the 5th time.  Guess people aren’t sick of him.

Beyonce: Will be giving fans a multiple choice with her new album: a 17-track double disc or an 11-song version.  Smart economical move?
