We never get tired of this family!

We never get tired of this family!

DWTS: Okay, so we admit we haven’t  been following this season that closely.  But we’re still surprised by who won.  Shawn Johnson?  Really?

PEOPLE: And the disappointment continues now that PEOPLE put Bristol Palin and baby on the cover of their new issue. So unnecessary.

Upfronts: Okay, all the news of pick-ups and cancellations is just getting to be too much.  We can’t keep track anymore!  Who wants to make us a handy chart?

MTV Movie Awards: Including exclusive clips from New Moon, the Transformers sequel and the next Harry Potter flick should definitely drive up ratings.  Maybe they’re better off with just a two-hour long clipfest?

The Cosby Show: Absolutely cannot get enough of all the 25th anniversary goodness!

SIZZLED OUT: Huffington Post

STILL SIZZLING: We’d say the cancellation of this show is like Everwood all over again but we didn’t actually watch it.  Guess that was part of its problem, eh?

This is a picture of genius!

This is a picture of genius!

Oscars: We can not stop watching the Hugh Jackman, Beyonce, Zac Efron, et. al. dance number!  Highlight of the show, if you ask us.  We’re still looking for the lyrics to that and the opening number.

Oscars Pt. 2: The broadcast surged 13 percent in the ratings from last year.  We’ll credit the above for that.

Slumdog Millionaire: This week’s big winner has the (dis)honor of their signature song, Jai Ho, being covered by the Pussycat Dolls.

Rihanna: TMZ swears they obtained the battered pic of RiRi legally but that’s not the issue, in our opinion.  To us, it’s a matter of ethics.  Then again, we always knew TMZ didn’t have any so perhaps it’s all a moot point!

Blink-182: If you’re excited for the reunion but want to know where the hell they’ve been the last few years, check out this detailed timeline.

DVDs: Now that the Everwood season 2 DVD finally has a release date, Newsday is looking in to why some series never make it to the shelves.  And it ain’t pretty.

SIZZLED OUT: Rosie O’Donnell

STILL SIZZLING: This veteran actress is perservering with her new Broadway show despite outside protests for her 1970s  behavior.

Wonder how Diddy's feeling right about now...

Wonder how Diddy's feeling right about now...

Jessica Simpson: This doesn’t happen that often. Simpson said some wise words at her concert last night: “”I feel like in our world today we focus on so many things that are completely pointless.”  No doubt she’s referring to the recent hubbub surrounding her weight.

The View: Co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck is pregnant again!  This will be her third baby in less than 4 years!  We should be so lucky!

Obama: The Washington Post claims cartoonists are focusing too much on emphasizing the new president’s lips.  Racist or not?  Or just comes with the territory?

The CW: Returning to the listings grid in TV Guide.  In case you actually still need one of those things.

Danity Kane: The Making The Band/Diddy-formed group has completely broken up.  Guess they’re really damaged now!

Superbowl: Just face it: no party you plan or attend will top what the stars have planned for the big day.  We can’t wait til we’re famous!

The Office: After the game, don’t forget to watch the star-studded episode, which is sure to get super ratings.

Forbes: On their Web Celeb 25 list, Perez Hilton comes in a number one for the second year in a row.  How much longer do you think that’ll last?

Twitter: New to the game and don’t know who to follow?  As a companion piece to the above article, Forbes also has a list of the most influential Twitterers.

SIZZLED OUT: Rachael Ray

STILL SIZZLING: This actress, mostly known for the endless aray of spoofs she’s starred in, is getting serious with a former Everwood actor.  They’re engaged!

Oh, how we've missed you! (And, oh, how we're still waiting for Everwood on DVD!)

Oh, how we've missed you! (And, oh, how we're still hoping for more Everwood DVDs!)

Jennifer Hudson: Her former brother-in-law has officially been arrested–but not charged–in the deaths of her mother, brother and nephew. One step closer to justice?

Britney: The most searched term on Yahoo…for the seventh time!

Gossip Girl: Was anyone surprised by last night’s ending? We think not.

Grammys: Nominations revealed tomorrow, museum opens on Saturday. Big week!

News Media: To blame for Black Friday mania and the Mumbai attacks?

CNN: Practically the only news organization making a profit these days–and stepping up their game even more by unveiling a wire service meant to compete with the AP.

Gregory Smith: Finally coming back to television and it’s on a pretty much-canceled show? Well, that’s just great.

American Idol: Promos for season 8 have hit the ‘net and we are LOVING the David Cook one.

Obama: Even with him as a role model, creating strong black characters on television will remain a challenge. Guess progress really does take baby steps.

The Real World: The first episode of the new Brooklyn season has been released to the media. The question: does anyone care anymore? This is, after all, season 21!

Time: Now the magazine of choice for college students, in place of Cosmopolitan. Also a preference of the past: Perez Hilton.com. Hallelujah!

SIZZLED OUT: Michael Phelps

STILL SIZZLING: Which singer featured her own parents as wedding guests in her new video?

October 22, 2008 Pt. 2

Only one of these is having a baby.

Only one of these is having a baby.

Taylor Momsen: The youngest Gossip Girl is in the hospital with a throat infection!  It’s life-threatening, doctors say, but they also predict she’ll be fine.  Which is it?!

Alyson Hannigan: She’s preggers!  And no, Jim is not the father.

DWTS: Bye, bye Toni Braxton.  Probably for the best with that heart problem and all.

Friday Night Lights: Wondering where it is?  Only on DirectTV.  What a scam.

Roseanne: It’s been 20 years since the show’s debut.  We feel old.

Julianne Hough: After doing what we now know was a superb acting job on live TV last night, the 20-year-old was taken to the hospital.  Today she says she’s “ok.”  The culprit?  A stomachache.  Can’t she just suck it up like the rest of us?

ABC: A memo went out to all show execs: wardrobe spending will be limited here on out.  Cheap?  Or efficient?

Privileged: That other show on the CW.  Has flown under the radar because it’s not Gossip Girl-esque.  Says its creator (Rina Mimoun of our eternal favorite Everwood), that was precisely the point.

50 Cent: Granted once-a-month visitation with his son.  And he’s happy about that–but is the kid? Man, we’d want to see our dad (a famous one, no less) a lot more than that!

A, um, glimpse into Zack and Miri's pornography adventure.

A, um, glimpse into Zack and Miri's pornography adventure.

CNN: A comedy show on CNN?  It’s coming, and will be hosted by D.L. Hughley.  Says the network: “When you watch as much news as our audience does, there comes a time you just want to stop and laugh.”  As they say, if you don’t laugh, you’ll cry.  Pretty true considering the current state of our country.  Go for the giggles!

Seth Rogen: His new flick–Zack and Miri Make a Porno–is running into some marketing problems.  Apparently a lot of places don’t want to advertise something so risque.  That only makes us want to see it more!

Project Runway: Picked its fifth winner last night.  This is getting old.

World Series: Rapidly approaching but the end might be getting farther.  MLB says the sixth game might be delayed due to Obama’s purchase of air time.

CW: Stepping up their game with a whole slew of guest stars for November sweeps–including Perez Hilton?!

The WB: Our new favorite site.  Watch full episodes of OTH, Everwood, The O.C., Smallville, Friends.  The lists gone on and on!  You MUST check it out!

More Crashes: Sadly, two more accidents happened this week.  Both Blake Lively’s dad and Gale Harold (of Desperate Housewives) were both injured in car wrecks.

Kanye West: What’s a good way to demonstrate the raw, natural quality your new album?  If you’re Kanye, that means having 30-plus completely naked women sitting on stage as the album plays.  We think the connection is a bit of a stretch.
