The cover of West's 52-page book.

The cover of West's 52-page book.

Chris Brown: Hours after he proclaimed he’s “not a monster” in a YouTube video, news broke that he’s been slapped with a lawsuit by a photog who claims Brown’s bodyguard beat him up.  We’d say the hits just keep on coming, but that would just be a really bad pun.

PEOPLE: Put together a handy–but short–guide to some of the celebrity deejays out there.  Kind of cool.

Perez Hilton: The culprit named in E!Online’s “Stolen Quote of the Day.” Perez stealing content?  Shocking!  Or not.

Kanye West: A self-proclaimed “non-reader” who has a book–if you can even call it that–coming out.  Makes a lot of sense, doesn’t it?

Bill Clinton: Reportedly a fan of 24, Mad Men and Damages.  Do presidents not like to laugh or something?

SIZZLED OUT: Amy Winehouse

STILL SIZZLING: An oft-repeated catchprase from this iconic 90s show topped the Paley Center’s list of 5o Funniest Phrases.

Wish him a happy birthday!

Wish him a happy birthday!

Lost: Premieres tonight.  Too bad we never jumped on the bandwagon.  It’s probably why we can’t enjoy this Lost/Heroes spoof.

Lost, Pt 2: But whether you watch the show or not, The New York Times has fascinating read on the guy in charge of keeping track of every single character and plot development.

Mad Men: Here’s another we haven’t gotten into.  But it’ll be back for a new season!  Never too late…

Ashlee Simpson: Who’s more desperate?  Ashlee and babydaddy Pete Wentz or CSI for employing them?

Oscars: We’re only a day away from the nominations and we finally know who will be doing the big reveal: Forest Whitaker!

Shia LaBeouf: Though he never faced charges from his summer crash, his license was still suspended for refusing a sobriety test.  Know what that means?  One year of being chaffeured around!

Jennifer Hudson: As news surfaced that she’ll perform at the Grammys, the alleged killer of her relatives plead not guilty to murder.

Obama: There’s no doubt that the question of our generation will be where were you when he was inaugurated?  But The St. Petersburg Times points out some other key and relatively recent historical events covered by the media.

Facebook: Had more than 1.5 million status updates related to Obama yesterday.  Wonder what Twitter had?

Twitter: They probably did pretty well, at least according to this.

Spongebob Squarepants: It’s been 10 years since we first met he who lives in a pineapple under the sea.  Nickelodeon is celebrating with a documentary.

TMZ: Large TV audience —-> constant episodes—-> spin-off —-> more terrible TV.  Any questions?

STILL SIZZLING: This ABC star confirmed today that her husband–and father to her two young twins–is suffering from cancer.

Some of us ARE happy with the way our shows ended, James/Dawson/new guy/whoever you are!

Some of us ARE happy with the way our shows ended, James/Dawson/new guy/whoever you are!

Britney: We LOVE the Rolling Stone cover.  Can’t wait to read the full story.

Speidi: If the elopement wasn’t planned, how come US Weekly was there to report on the whole thing?  Fishy as always.  (Both US Weekly and Speidi!)

OTH: Last night’s episode was PHENOMENAL, but, unfortunately, it’ll have to hold us over until January.  And will it pick back up where it left off or will time have passed like in reality? Thankfully, Mark Schwahn gave one of his best interviews in a while and we’ll be analyzing it over and over again for at least the next month.

OTH Pt. 2: Was James Van Der Beek playing Dawson 5 years later or one of the shiteous directors Dawson faced when he went off to LA?  Best line: “If there’s one thing I know, it’s that audiences get crazy over who ends up together.”  You don’t say?!

Gossip Girl: Not on last night but back next week.  In the meantime, Kristin has some interesting scoop.  She says the Lily and Rufus back-story might play out on the web.  Would people actually tune in…er…log on for that?

PEOPLE: Already has a comprehensive Best of 2008 site up, where you get to share what was hot and what was not.   (Kind of reminds you of Sizzle, doesn’t it?)

Mad Men: The suits are hoping the show’s popularity will increase with a musical revue.  We don’t really see how those are related AT ALL.

24: The prequel scored higher than a lot of television shows do each week, but probably not high enough.  Oh, the irony.

Obama: Some say a new comedian will take over for Fred Armisen on SNL.  SNL insists otherwise.  But who else is there?

Box Office: With everyone’s wallet a little tighter these days, we doubt early Wednesday, pre-Thanksgiving, openings are going to help films one bit.  Sorry, Sean Penn, Nicole Kidman, Vince Vaughn and the rest of you who are hedging your bets.

BSB: Guess someone was listening (reading?) when we said the entire group should’ve reunited on TRL last week.

Chinese Democracy: Banned in China in more ways than one.

SIZZLED OUT: Nicollette Sheridan and David Spade

STILL SIZZLING: Which former boy bander just designed a public bathroom for Times Square?  Perhaps this is why he, too, was too busy to join his former bandmates at the TRL finale.

He can handle terrorists but prison's a different story.

He can handle terrorists but prison's a different story!

Obama: If you name it, they will buy.  Assuming you = Obama.  After he referenced a book about FDR during his 60 Minutes interview, bookstores and buyers are scrambling to find out which book exactly it was.

Obama Pt. 2: Does the First Lady’s body type make you wanna stand up and cheer?  This writer does, giving praise to Michelle’s derriere.

Newsstands: Speaking of butts, should they (as featured on raunchy mags) be prominently displayed on newsstands next to other more “respectable” publications?  What ever happened to the First Amendment?

Theme Songs: How much do they really matter?  Apparently enough to warrant a top-40 countdown.

TiVo: It’s the gift that keeps on giving!  Soon you’ll be able to use it to order pizza!

Kiefer Sutherland: One of the 24 star’s complaints about jail: no smoking.  Oh, the horror!

Lipstick Jungle: We thought it was canceled.  Brooke Shields says no.  Fans send lipstick to network.  In sum: totally bizaarre.

Fox News: They’ve set up a Facebook page.  Totally uncool.

Rihanna: Had 8 singles from on album on the Billboard charts!  Ri-dic!

GQ: Why have a man of the year when you can have MEN of the year?  Leo, Phelps, Obama, and Mad Men’s John Hamm.  Not too shabby.

Mickey Mouse: We’re not sure if this makes us feel young or old.  Mickey turned 80 today!

Seth Rogen: He really likes making pornos.  Zack and Miri was just the tip of the iceberg.  Rogen is working on a new show for Showtime about…making pornos.  Classy, as always.

Dan Lyons: The Newsweek writer is having a hissy fit over the resignation of Yahoo’s CEO.  Apparently Lyons, in an interview just last month, was told that wouldn’t be happening.  It’s called spin, Lyons.  You of all people should know about it.

Robert Murdoch: Ouch!  The media titan is blaming the industry’s decline not on the economy but the suckiness of editors and writers.

Natalee Holloway: The case has been reopened.  Maybe we’ll actually get answers–and closure for the family–this time around.

Guess they won't be so close anymore.

Guess they won't be so close anymore.

Sarah Palin: Funny on SNL last night but funny doesn’t make a great vice president, does it?

Obama: Former Secretary of State Colin Powell has endorsed Obama, breaking party lines.  Surprising?

Obama Pt. 2: Also got three media endorsements last week–two of them also quite surprising.  This is the first time the LA Times and the Chicago Tribune have endorsed a Democrat!

Variety: Has a great article on the incestuous relationship between film and television.

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles got a surprise full-season pickup.  The bad news: It means Brian Austin Green will still be too busy for a 90210 cameo!

Spamalot: Even Clay Aiken couldn’t save it.  The show will close in January.

SIZZLED OUT: Mad Men

STILL SIZZLING: Which celeb–who was shortchanged in her father’s will not too long ago–is selling her home for nearly 2.4 million?

He may have a perpetual scowl but he's using his new book to tell us why.

He may have a perpetual scowl but he's using his new book to tell us why.

Sarah Palin: Will be making her long-awaited appearance on SNL tonight.  Great for ratings.

Eminem: From the memoir we told you about yesterday: “If you go back and look at the abuse that I took, it’s no surprise I became who I am.”  We’re just curious to know who he is today.

TV: How dumb are thee?  Let us count the ways.

Grammy Awards: There will actually be a nomination special on two months before the big event.  Considering how down ratings have been for awards shows lately, we don’t really understand this move.  Who wants low ratings twice?

Lost: The show is ending!  In 2010…

SIZZLED OUT: Jenny McCarthy and Denis Leary

STILL SIZZLING: This show is coming back for a third season, possibly without its creator.  Too bad we don’t watch it.
