FOB is peeved and they want you to know about it!

FOB is peeved and they want you to know about it!

Heroes: Someone in the cast desperately wants out.  But Kristin won’t say who!

Fall Out Boy: Making a huge accusation that Blender sensationalized and falsified parts of their February cover story–and using Twitter to air their grievances!

Travis Barker: Accompanied by ex Shanna Moakler as he and DJ AM reunited to play a set in Las Vegas.  On again?  Or just hanging with his babymama?

ABC: Contemplating adding widgets to your television experience.  No idea how they’d do that but that’s not surprising considering we still have trouble with widgets ourselves!

TV Guide: No longer includes The CW in their magazine listings.  WTF?

Iron Man 2: Possible villiain casting: Mickey Rourke, who is in the midst of a comeback thanks to the film The Wrestler.

Jossip: No one could deny how awkward it was watching Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper co-host a New Year’s eve special.  Jossip has followed their example by coming up with some pairings of their own.  Our favorite: Joy Behar and Ann Coulter!

Journalism: People, people!  More than one news organization cannot have an exclusive on the same exact thing–as some sites claimed yesterday about Tori Spelling’s 90210 deal.  Go back to j-school!

Gawker: Has a great picture-based piece on the ridiculousness of Teen Vogue telling kids to buy $200+ bags during a recession.

Israel: We resent the suggestion that the timing of the war in Gaza was a PR move.  Considering we were there when it began last month, we can tell you that’s not true.

Not partying together

Not partying together

90210: Tori Spelling will most likely be guest-starring on 90210 this season.  For real this time.  We think.

Oprah: Not throwing the other O an inauguration party.  We’re kind of surprised.  Thought she’d be going all out!

Twilight: So they decided not to recast the role of Jacob after all.  Not that we care.

Kelsey Grammar: Will star in a new show that’s (allegedly) reflective of the current economic state.

The Daily Beast: Suggests being more web-friendly would help Obama’s administration.  Not sure we understand.

SIZZLED OUT: Katy Perry

STILL SIZZLING: This show beat out 90210 and Fringe for favorite new TV series at the People’s Choice Awards last night.  But if you ask us, the show is kind of hard to remember.

Indirectly supporting Obama with a pre-inaguration concert

Indirectly supporting Obama with a pre-inauguration concert

Brad Pitt: Calls Jennifer Aniston a “sweetheart” in a new interview and says any drama between Jen and Angelina is “created” by the media. Also adds that the way he and Angie got together was “respectful.”  Jen might disagree with that…

Fashion Week: The economy is even taking its toll on one of the most anticipated week’s in fashion.  Several top designers have decided not to hold runway shows this year at the usually extravagant Fashion Week in New York City.  Though if you ask the designers themselves, they’ll tell you the economy has nothing to do with it.

Obama: Even if you can’t attend the inauguration in person, you can still get a close look thanks to HBO which will be airing the festivities.  The best part: you don’t even have to be an HBO subscriber to watch!

Jay-Z: But if you will be in D.C., Jay-Z is holding a special concert the night before the ceremony.

Golden Globes: Maybe it’s wrong of us to be so happy about this but the Globes will be handing out this year significantly smaller gift bags to celebs.

Entertainment Weekly: An editorial shake-up has one of our favorite PEOPLE editors, Jess Cagle, leaving the mag and becoming managing editor at EW.  Guess we can live with that.

Jossip: Among what they call the “worst” blogs out there (we’re not on it, whew!) are celebrity Twitter and MySpace pages.  We beg to differ.

Think anyone did this to her while she was preggers?

Think anyone did this to her while she was preggers?

Jennifer Garner: Gave birth yesterday to daughter number two.  No word yet if the name will be another crayon color.

John Travolta: Predictably, John, Jett and Kelly Preston are on the cover of this week’s PEOPLE.  Will probably be a big seller.

American Idol: Telling people not to believe a letter they may receive in a mail claiming they’ve won prize money.  Gotta love scams.

Nip/Tuck: Got a scathing review from the Sun-Sentinel.  While we wouldn’t be quite as harsh, we agree the show doesn’t seem as fresh and cutting edge (no pun intended) anymore.

Sarah Palin: After praising her daughter and soon-to-be son-in-law for working hard, word comes that new father Levi Johnston has quit his job after a newspaper discovered he wasn’t eligible for the position.  Ah, investigative journalism at its finest!

The Real World: The Brooklyn edition premieres tonight.  Kind of over it.  How ’bout you?

iTunes: Changing their pricing so that songs cost differently depending on how “popular” they are.

Forbes: T’was their turn for yesterday.  Lucky them.

The Atlantic: Wrote a piece speculating on what would happen if The New York Times went out of business and, let us tell you, it ain’t pretty.

SIZZLED OUT: Lindsay Lohan (Samantha Ronson)

STILL SIZZLING: This singer is offering a contest where fans can submit videos to air during her performance at the Grammys.  Will they try it and will they like it?

Will Tony Danza be invited to the wedding?

Our question: Will Tony Danza be invited to the wedding?

Pink: Adding a new layer to her WTF saga with ex Carey Hart, the singer tells Seventeen she’d love to give him away at his next wedding, whenever that might be.

Alyssa Milano: Engaged to a Hollywood agent.  Will she be the boss?

TV Guide Network: Sold to Lionsgate Entertainment along with TVGuide.com.  TV Guide the magazine is still a separate entity.  Yeah, we don’t get it either.

Obama: Does a time of hope and change mean no more political satire?  Guess time will tell.

Prince William: Apparently being a prince is so much work, you need a “household” to manage everything.  William and brother Harry were given support teams by grandmother Queen Elizabeth.  We know we could use one of those!

Roger Ebert: Asks an important question in a new column: why do we thirst for movie stars to fail?  Wish we knew the answer.

Craig Ferguson: The funnyman (who was hysterical on Password last week) managed to keep something secret from the press–his wedding!  Ferguson got married over the holidays and suggests everyone should call him and his wife Cragan, a la Brangelina!

Big Hollywood: A new site made by Hollywood’s few conservatives.  Love that Gawker’s already making fun!

LiveJournal: Not all social networks are a-Twitter lately.  (Get it?  A-Twitter?!)  LJ, arguably the first site of its kind, has cut its staff rom 28 to just 8.

The comic book version looks nothing like this. Who knew?

The comic book version looks nothing like this. Who knew?

John Travolta: Jett’s official cause of death is seizure disorder.  Doesn’t make it any better.

DWTS: Co-host Samantha Harris says her dream contestant would be soon-to-be Oscar host Hugh Jackman.  Can’t see that EVER happening.

TV Guide: Has an awesome calendar keeping track of the 71 (!!!) winter premieres!

Seinfeld: You can watch it in HD…if any station buys the episodes first.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: It’s not a movie but will you settle for a new comic?

Newsweek: Don’t know what Antihero Overload is?  Example: Jack Bauer and co.

Facebook: Can you not use the words Palestine or Gaza?  Apparently so.  Thought they’d be the last ones to do any sort of censorship.

Twitter: Celebs aren’t the only ones on there.  A whole slew of newspapers are, too!

SIZZLED OUT: Carrie Underwood

STILL SIZZLING: Doth the lady protest too much? This gal is once again insisting she’s still with her significant other.

The new parents are keeping it in the family!

The new parents are keeping it in the family!

Gossip Girl: Back from its winter hiatus tonight!  And so is One Tree Hill!  We couldn’t be happier!

Jennifer Love Hewitt: Before the holidays she was engaged.  After the holidays she’s single.  That time of the year can be hard on all of us, we tell ya.

Rebecca Romijn: Gave birth to twin girls last week, one of which is named Charlie…as in Jerry O’Connell’s brother Charlie.  Awkward?

Jennifer Hudson: Contrary to rumors, she won’t be performing at Obama’s inauguration.  Wonder when she’ll get back out there?  Not that we can blame her…

The Bachelor: As we said in November, we’re very interested in seeing what happens this season, which premieres tonight.  A single dad going on a dating show?  So not fair to the kid.

NYT: Credits “superheroes” with saving the film industry in 2008.

NYT Pt. 2: Unfortunately for them, their own industry has yet to be saved.  More evidence of how bad things are: the newspaper will now have ads on its front page–a very non-traditional move.

Men’s Vogue: Going from a previously announced 2 issues a year to…none, according to The Media is Dying.

Perez Hilton: Expect to see him everywhere this week hawking his new book.  Groan.

Facebook: Celebs with legit profiles include Lance Bass, Julie Benz and Josh Groban, but good luck finding them!

Twitter: That nasty virus is still going around and led to the hacking of some celeb accounts.  Guess that helps this article which advocates banning them altogether!  Maybe they should join Facebook?

Sizzle: Check out the shout-out we got on the One Tree Hill Blog!

SIZZLED OUT: Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg), Gossip Girl

STILL SIZZLING: This former Idol was voted favorite star under 35, a new category for the People’s Choice Awards.

He's probably regretting that break-up right about now...

He's probably regretting that break-up right about now...

John Travolta: Posted a statement on wife Kelly Preston’s official site, thanking fans for their condolences and expressing their sadness.  We can’t even begin to imagine what they’re going through.

DWTS: Mario Lopez must be pissed!  His ex (and former dancing partner) Karina Smirnoff is engaged to fellow DWTS pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy.  What a sordid love triangle!

Twitter: Major password-stealing virus making its way through.  Thankfully, we haven’t been affected so far.  (And you should follow us at @sizzlemaker!)

Facebook: Suing Power.com, a new site that lets users track their various social media accounts in one place, for copyright infringement.  Curious to see how this all plays out…

Broadway: At least 12 shows are closing in the coming weeks, though there’ll be new openings on off-Broadway.  Not the best situation but not the worst, either.

SIZZLED OUT: HBO

STILL SIZZLING: A much-talked about character is rumored to be returning to this hit CW show.

A glimpse into Ashlee's "best" year ever.

A glimpse into Ashlee's "best" year ever.

Grey’s Anatomy: Yes, Chyler Leigh is pregnant.  No, it won’t be written into the show.  Prepare for awkward missing-belly shots.

Project Runway: Definitely hasn’t been anything but trouble for Lifetime, who has to refund money to advertisers who expected the show to air this winter.

Rosie O’Donnell: Won’t be blogging this year.  Major disappointment to people who were addicted to her Ask Ro section.  Not that that includes us or anything…

Ashlee Simpson: Called 2008 the “greatest year” of her life.  How long until her perfect world falls apart?

Scrubs: So this is definitely the last season….sort of.  The show execs are open to a spinoff! Just without Zach Braff…

Melrose Place: No one’s attached to star in the remake yet but the rumor mill says Heather Locklear is a wanted woman.  What else is new?

Regis and Kelly: We don’t deal with change very well so this news is quite upsetting.  Live! with Regis and Kelly will return from its holiday hiatus with a new opening, a new theme song, new logos and an altered set.  How’s that for an extreme makeover?

John McCain: Made more late-night TV appearances than any other candidate.  We see how that helped him.  Or not.

SIZZLED OUT: Kevin Federline

STILL SIZZLING: This network is offering free hugs and coupons for peace t-shirts.  Heartwarming or sketchy?

Travolta and son Jett in an undated photo

Travolta and son Jett in an undated photo

John Travolta: His only son with wife Kelly Preston died today at the age of 16.  A cause of death has not yet been determined.  The family was vacationing in the Bahamas.  Tragic.

Katy Perry: No longer with Travis McCoy of Gym Class Heroes, according to PEOPLE.  Maybe she’ll kiss a girl next?

Slumdog Millionaire: Finally saw it.  Pretty good, but don’t see why it’s been named again and again the best of ’08.

The Reader: Incredibly moving.  Adding the book to our reading list.  You should, too!

EW: Even with today’s double feature, we still haven’t finished seeing all of 2008’s big pictures.  And yet entertainment Weekly is already scoping out the upcoming biggies for 2009.  We’ve got some work to do…

Ben Lyons: Everyone’s dissing him and his reviews but we ask this: are there any genuinely good and objective critics out there still?

Michael Cera: May play Gilligan in a big screen adaptation of Gilligan’s Island.  Don’t know about you but we like our Cera in quirky rom coms only, thankyouverymuch.

Vogue: Has the iconic fashion mag become “stale and predictable”?  The New York Times thinks so.  We’ve never been and never will be an Anna Wintour fan, anyway.

STILL SIZZLING: Despite protesting in a recent major interview that he’s single, this guy has been seen around town with a new lady.  But what will his ex say?

SIZZLED OUT: Jennifer Lopez and Mark Anthony
