Cover of Miley's "tell-all"

Cover of Miley's "tell-all"

Britney: Would you still go to her concert if you knew she was lip-synching the entire time?  ‘Cause, um, she is!

Miley Cyrus: In her new autobiography, she refers to ex-Nick Jonas only as Prince Charming.  Gotta love the mind of a 16-year-old!

American Idol: Not sure how we feel about voting for someone called Lil Rounds.  Are we just being name-ist?

HSM: Since no one from the original cast is likely to appear in the fourth film, MTV put together a “What’s Next” list for Zac and the gang.

Glamour: Has a very creative photo gallery of current celebs impersonating pop culture icons, including Madonna, Audrey Hepburn and even Michelle Obama.

SATC: The Daily Beast puts a hilarious spin on Sex and the City, given today’s recession-plagued society.  It is a fair question, though, to wonder if people will still want to view their excess in light of our current reality.

No Doubt: Offering their fans digital copies of every one of their songs with purchase of concert tickets for their upcoming tour.  Not a bad deal given the aforementioned recession.

Facebook: The planned new features look very Twitter-like.  Amping up the competition, eh?

SIZZLED OUT: Two and a Half Men

STILL SIZZLING: This talk show host will give people a different view of her life if her autobiographical sitcom is made into a full series.

This is the Britney we miss!

This is the Britney we miss!

The Bachelor: The show promised a twist-ending and we got it.  As we’ve been predicting all along, this back-and-forth can’t be good for Jason’s kid!  Just look at all the couples that have failed before!

Britney: The set list for her upcoming tour has been released and we strongly object.  We want more old-school Brit!  Way too much has changed since her last go-round.

24: They may kill a lot of characters but they’re promising not to kill the Earth.  24 is going green!  Pretty sweet, right?

Milk: With an Oscar win behind him, Sean Penn is trying to get the late Harvey Milk’s birthday officially recognized by the state of California.  Yeah, good luck with that.

Brothers and Sisters: Anyone else pissed about the misleading promo for Sunday’s night two-hour episode?  Newsday Verne Gay not only feels your pain, he’s also calling it “a promotional con job of the likes I’ve never seen before, ever, in the history of TV.”  ‘Dem’s fightin’ words, Verne!

Twitter: Did The View cause yesterday’s site outage?  That’s what Gawker wants you to believe.

SIZZLED OUT: Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston (Marley and Me)

STILL SIZZLING: To make his 15 minutes of fame last a little longer, this hair-raising guy just signed a six-figure book deal.

Does this look old to you?

Does this look old to you?

Rihanna: The singer is trying to work things out with Chris Brown, PEOPLE is reporting.  Don’t really think it’s fair for any of us to judge.

Rosie O’Donnell: She’s blogging again!  After promising to go this year “unplugged,” Ro is back to writing missives and answering fan questions.

ANTM: The show will have a wider range of contestants for its thirteenth cycle now that they’ve decided to forgo the minimum height requirement.  Maybe we should sign up?  HA!

The Simpsons: A lawyer claimed in court that his client is like Homer Simpson, and therefore should get a light sentence.  Gotta love when television and the justice system collide.

Kristin Bell: Wants to do the Veronica Mars movie before she’s too old.  Sad to see she’s getting hung up on old Hollywood conventions.

SIZZLED OUT: Jerry Seinfeld

STILL SIZZLING: While promoting their movie, this Hollywood duo ate dog biscuits after losing a bet on a German talk show.

Wheel of Fortune Recap Part Three

(Read Part One and Part Two)

So did you all watch our episode last night?!?!?!?!?

If not–or if you want to see it again!–you can check it out here and here.

It was incredibly interesting to see how our memories of the taping reconciled with the actual show.  And now we know how celebrities feel when they say they can’t stand watching themselves on TV!  Hearing your own voice is incredibly weird, and Sizzlemaker clapped really awkwardly.  Plus, we’re pretty sure the camera really did add 20 pounds!

As you could see, we only got to spin about 5 times.  There was a streak where Sizzlemaker got a few letters in a row but unfortunately it didn’t last.  Turns were lost when we guessed S and T–two of the most common letters–and they weren’t in the puzzle.  Furthermore, we knew the answers but it was never our turn to solve.

Scott earned most of his money by winning two trips.  While we didn’t really care about the San Francisco one, we were dying to win the one to Mexico!  In the first round we picked up a Marie Callendars prize but we didn’t get to keep it since we didn’t solve the puzzle.  (And to be honest, we don’t even know what Marie Callendars is!)

Our winnings, a whopping $1,300, came solely from solving the last puzzle, an opportunity that was really just a matter of luck.  The game is really about the order of turns and benefiting from the letters guessed by the other contestants.  And with the way it played out in this particular case, Scott and Jennifer ended up getting the advantage.

The puzzle in the bonus round was extremely difficult and probably extremely disappointing for Scott.  He came so close to winning an additional $100,000!  Still, he walked away with more than $20,000.

So our Wheel of Fortune adventure has come to its conclusion.  It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we’d love to relive–and change a bit!  But we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity and will have the memory to take with us for the rest of our lives.

In love. At least for today.

In love. At least for today.

AniMayer: Still wondering where this supposedly serious relationship came from?  PEOPLE has a great recap of their path to “love.”  Our question: how long til it’s over?

DWTS: Supposedly Lil’ Kim will “surprise a lot of people.” We’re pretty nervous that’ll all be from her wardrobe choices.  Also, Jewel will still compete despite a small injury this week.  Fun fact: Her hubby–and fellow competitor–thinks getting her pregnant will help him win!

The Simpsons: Will become the longest-running scripted show, with 22 seasons, in history now that Fox gave it a two-season extension.  To put it in context, though, this will mean only 400-something shows.  Beverly Hills, 90210 had 10 seasons and 300 shows!

Jamie Foxx: Taking name-dropping to a new level by…face-dropping.  The actor-turned-music star features a slew of celebrities in his new video, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Ron Howard, Samuel L. Jackson and more.  Random group, no?

Tom Brady: There’s little details out there but apparently he and Gisele Bundchen got married yesterday.  Wonder how his babymama, actress Bridget Moynahan, feels about this.

Newsday: The idea of paying for on-line news has been bandied about by a number of people and Newsday (our hometown paper!) announced that they’ll be doing just that.  Understand that newspapers need more revenue these days to function but not sure charging readers is the way to go.  Might even drive people away.

Wheel of Fortune: Don’t forget to watch Sizzlemaker tonight!  Check your local listings for time and channel.

SIZZLED OUT: Clue

STILL SIZZLING: This famous funny man is coming back to television…sort of.  He’ll be producing a reality show that, apparently, isn’t about nothing.

The next Peter Parker and Mary-Jane?

The next Peter Parker and Mary-Jane?

Justin Timberlake: Will be a guest on the first episode of Jimmy Fallon’s late-night show, airing Monday.  Don’t know about you, but that’s not enough to get us to watch.

Schwarzenegger: Who said he was done with Hollywood?  The governator will be making a cameo in a Sylvester Stallone film.  That seems like a good use of his time.

David Archuleta: Blogged about filming a guest spot on Hannah Montana and said “Miley was a cool person to hang out with.”  By next week, the tabloids will be calling them a couple.

Gilmore Girls: The final season, arguably its worst, is finally coming to syndication.  You can watch it this June on ABC Family.

Spider-Man: A Broadway musical version is definitely happening, with a targeted opening date of early 2010.  Possible casting: Evan Rachel Wood and Jim Sturgess, the latter of whom we ADORE.  Coincidence: their Across the Universe director, Julie Taymor, is behind the musical.

Wheel of Fortune: Our episode airs tomorrow night!  Check your local listings for channel and time.

SIZZLED OUT: Ronald Reagan

STILL SIZZLING: This movie is being remade.  But giving you a HINT would give away the answer!

Splitsville!

Splitsville!

Megan Fox: Guys everywhere had their hope restored yesterday when news broke that Fox and fiance Brian Austin Green called it quits.  News flash, boys: she still isn’t going to get with you!

The CW: In an unusual move, the netlet gave early pick-ups to 6 of its shows: Gossip Girl, 90210, One Tree Hill, Supernatural, Smallville and ANTM.  That means TeenDramaWhore is very happy!

Liz Smith: The longtime gossip queen has been cut from the New York Post.  At least she still has wowOwow but who knows if that makes any money?

Nickelodeon: After being the front-runner in kids programming for so long, there’s no question now that Disney Channel has come ahead in the race.  But can Nick come back?  We say yes.  Kids and tweens are fickle.  They’ll watch whatever is “good” and “popular.”

Jonas Brothers: Speaking of kids and tweens, their beloved trio will making surprise visits at theatres across the country at screenings of their movie.  Hope medical personnel will be on hand for all the fainting!

Defamer: (via Gawker) has a fun/creepy look at celeb relationships that have gone sour long after the tattoo ink dried.

Twitter: Damn those 140-character limits!  Journ George Stephanopoulous had to explain that he ate potates, not “pot” at Obama-sponsored lunch.

SIZZLED OUT: Jane Fonda

STILL SIZZLING: All this month TMC will pay tribute to this former president who had a lucruative career before going into politics.

This is a picture of genius!

This is a picture of genius!

Oscars: We can not stop watching the Hugh Jackman, Beyonce, Zac Efron, et. al. dance number!  Highlight of the show, if you ask us.  We’re still looking for the lyrics to that and the opening number.

Oscars Pt. 2: The broadcast surged 13 percent in the ratings from last year.  We’ll credit the above for that.

Slumdog Millionaire: This week’s big winner has the (dis)honor of their signature song, Jai Ho, being covered by the Pussycat Dolls.

Rihanna: TMZ swears they obtained the battered pic of RiRi legally but that’s not the issue, in our opinion.  To us, it’s a matter of ethics.  Then again, we always knew TMZ didn’t have any so perhaps it’s all a moot point!

Blink-182: If you’re excited for the reunion but want to know where the hell they’ve been the last few years, check out this detailed timeline.

DVDs: Now that the Everwood season 2 DVD finally has a release date, Newsday is looking in to why some series never make it to the shelves.  And it ain’t pretty.

SIZZLED OUT: Rosie O’Donnell

STILL SIZZLING: This veteran actress is perservering with her new Broadway show despite outside protests for her 1970s  behavior.

Make room for one more!

Make room for one more!

Oscars: Complete coverage here!

Oscars Pt. 2: Putting a new twist on a best/worst dressed list, The Daily Beast looks at past dresses that were unfairly slammed.

American Idol: Can tragedy earn you votes?  Finalist Danny Gokey promises that’s not his strategy but there’s no way it won’t affect people’s view of him.

Kelly Clarkson: Her entire new album was “accidentally” leaked by a foreign iTunes service.  Don’t think it’ll hurt record sales, though.

Nicole Richie: She and babydaddy Joel Madden are expecting kid number two!  Maybe they should get married?

Clay Aiken: Some reports say he was dropped, others say he left.  Regardless how you spin it, Aiken is no longer with RCA records.

Wheel of Fortune: Our episode (airing Friday!) is getting so much promotion!  There’s even a little article about it in this week’s PEOPLE!

Defamer: Merging into Gawker.  Would be sad if we thought there was a real difference between the two anyway.

SIZZLED OUT: Nelly

STILL SIZZLING: This comedian who previously said she was going to spend this year “unplugged,” took to her blog to say she’s “lovin’ Tyra” and promote her appearance on the talk show.
